2. Age Restrictions & Licensing

SANE is a fully licensed premises operating under the Licensing Act 2003.

  • Strictly 18+: You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase alcohol, make a reservation, or enter our premises.
  • Challenge 25: We operate a strict Challenge 25 policy. If you appear to be under the age of 25, you will be required to present a valid, government-issued photo ID (Passport, UK Driving Licence, or PASS-accredited card) to prove you are 18 or over.
  • Right to Refuse: Management reserves the right to refuse admission or the service of alcohol to anyone at their absolute discretion, including for reasons of intoxication or failure to provide valid ID, without liability.

3. Reservations and Cancellations

When you make a reservation at SANE, the following terms apply:

  • Card Authentication: To secure a booking, we may require a valid credit or debit card. No charges are made at the time of booking unless explicitly stated.
  • Cancellation Policy: We ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or amend your reservation.
  • No-Show & Late Cancellation Fees: In the event of a no-show or a cancellation made with less than the required notice, we reserve the right to charge a fee of £10.00 per guest to the card provided at the time of booking.
  • Late Arrivals: Tables will be held for 15 minutes past your booking time. If you are running late, please contact us. After this grace period, your table may be released to other guests.

4. Online Purchases (Gift Vouchers & Retail)

  • Pricing: All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT at the current UK rate.
  • Gift Vouchers: Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They cannot be exchanged for cash, and no change will be given if the full amount is not spent.
  • Delivery: Digital vouchers will be delivered via email. Physical goods (if applicable) will be dispatched to the address provided. We are not liable for delays caused by third-party couriers.
  • Refunds: Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel an online purchase of physical goods or unredeemed vouchers within 14 days of receipt for a full refund.

All food, sake, and wine menus displayed on our website are sample menus. Vintages, specific sake brews, ingredients, and prices are subject to change based on seasonality and availability without prior notice.
